Located 600 kilometers southeast of Metro Manila, the province of Sorsogon has long been considered as gateway to the rest of southern Philippines.

But there is more to Sorsogon than the highway that stretches on and on. Sorsogon is definitely more than just a jump-off point: it is a destination in itself.

About the photographer:

A photographer at the City Government of Sorsogon, Lito Derit (or Papiyo) has captured Sorsogon’s many faces on film. Here he shows Sorsogon as it is: a journey, a destination and all things in between.

  1. It’s nice to see somebody putting up this site. If you don’t mind, I am putting up a link on my webpage to consolidate such blogs.

    1. thanks a lot. your blog is actually one of the reasons i decided to set this to “public’ in the first place :p

  2. Hi,

If you have extra time, perhaps, you can improve this Wiki page – http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_barangays_in_Sorsogon_City

I created the page but I just don’t have time to go around all of these barangays during my visit to our beloved city.

    Dios mabalos.
